Impact of Emotional Intelligence on Leadership Effectiveness among Manufacturing Professionals in Delhi-NCR: A Statistical Analysis
Abstract
This study examines the impact of Emotional Intelligence (EI) on Leadership Effectiveness (LE) among manufacturing professionals in Delhi-NCR. In modern manufacturing organizations, leaders operate in complex environments characterized by operational pressure, workforce diversity, and rapid technological changes. Emotional intelligence is increasingly recognized as a key capability that enhances leadership performance through improved emotional regulation, communication, decision-making, and interpersonal relationships. The study adopted a quantitative research design using a structured questionnaire consisting of demographic variables, eight emotional intelligence items, and eight leadership effectiveness items. Data were collected from 312 manufacturing professionals using convenience and purposive sampling methods. Statistical analysis including reliability testing, descriptive statistics, correlation, regression, and hypothesis testing was performed using SPSS. Results indicate that emotional intelligence significantly and positively affects leadership effectiveness. The findings suggest that emotionally intelligent professionals demonstrate stronger leadership behaviors, better conflict management skills, and enhanced team coordination.
